Privacy Policy

Welcome to Taskiz ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how Taskiz collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information when you use our voice-powered assistant application available at https://taskiz.ai/.

By using Taskiz, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

Name, email address, and contact details
Business information (company name, services, job details)
Voice inputs and commands used within the app
Client and job records you create within Taskiz

b. Automatically Collected Data

Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
Usage data (features used, interactions, app logs)
IP address and general (city/region-level) location data

c. Third-Party Data (Google APIs)

If you choose to connect your Google account, Taskiz accesses only the following data, and only for the purposes described in Section 3:

Google Calendar — to read, create, and update calendar events so Taskiz can schedule jobs and appointments on your behalf.
Basic Google profile information (name, email) — to identify your account and display your information within Taskiz.

We request only the minimum scopes necessary to provide Taskiz's functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and operate the Taskiz application
Schedule and manage jobs, tasks, and appointments via voice commands
Generate and send invoices on your behalf
Improve voice recognition accuracy and overall user experience
Communicate with you regarding product updates, support, and account notifications
Maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations

3. Google User Data — Limited Use Disclosure

Taskiz's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we confirm:

We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features of Taskiz (scheduling jobs, managing appointments, etc.).
We do not sell Google user data.
We do not use Google user data for advertising of any kind, including targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine learning models.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to users).
We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless: (a) we have your affirmative consent; (b) it is necessary for security purposes; (c) it is necessary to comply with applicable law; or (d) the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers — with vetted hosting, cloud infrastructure, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Integrations you enable — for example, when you connect Taskiz to Google Calendar or QuickBooks, data is exchanged with those services at your direction.
Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Taskiz, our users, or the public.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, credit assessment, lending, or any purpose other than providing or improving Taskiz's functionality.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

Google User Data Retention

Google user data (such as Calendar data) is retained only while your account is active and connected.
If you disconnect your Google account, Taskiz immediately stops accessing your Google data.
Stored Google user data is deleted from our active systems within 30 days of disconnection, unless retention is required by law.
Backups containing Google user data are purged on our standard backup rotation, no later than 90 days after deletion from active systems.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by:

Emailing marketing@taskiz.ai with the subject line "Account Deletion Request," or
Deleting your account directly within the app.

Upon deletion request:

All personal data is removed from active systems within 30 days.
Google user data is permanently removed within the same period.
Backups are purged within 90 days.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:

Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
Secure cloud infrastructure with restricted, role-based access controls
Regular security reviews, logging, and monitoring
Multi-factor authentication for internal systems that access user data

While no system is completely secure, we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
Withdraw consent — disconnect your Google account or revoke previously granted permissions at any time via your Google Account permissions page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions)
Portability — request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

Taskiz is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect data from, individuals under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app or by email. Continued use of Taskiz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
